About Dr. Collins

Dr. Collins is a child psychologist with expertise in autism and other neurodevelopmental differences such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, and intellectual disability. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in mental health counseling at the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz. She then completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Regent University. Dr. Collins completed her predoctoral internship, which focused on child/adolescent psychology, at the Milton Hershey School located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She then went on to complete a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship through Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute. At Kennedy Krieger’s Center for Autism and Related Disorders she furthered her expertise in working with autistic children, adolescents, and young adults. After completing her fellowship, she was employed as a staff member at this center, until she ultimately shifted into private practice.

Outside of her role as a psychologist, Dr. Collins is a wife and a mother of two little boys. She is also an animal lover, and has a dog, seven chickens, and a rooster. In her free time, Dr. Collins enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, crafting, going out to eat, exploring new places, and being involved in her community.
